Psalm 37 verses 4 to 5: “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.”
Bryan shared these verses with me some time ago and said that he felt that they were from God for me. I have put these verses on my laptop and my phone as my screensavers (or whatever you call them!) and let the words dwell. Every time I start my laptop up or it goes to screensaver these words are there for me. When Bryan initially shared them with me, I was unsure as to what ‘the desires of my heart’ were? I can remember when the children were younger, they would ask what I wanted for my Birthday and I would say things like ‘world peace’! As the weeks have passed, I have become more aware that the desires on my heart are to be able to see more people come to know the Lord for themselves, and through that to see more peace in the world, in our community, in our families. In the past weeks I have been so excited to see the Lord working as we have put our trust in Him, the gifting of angels over Christmas has led to links with CDW Community Aid and it is exciting to consider what our next steps will be in partnership with them.
A song comes to mind:
Let me do my work among you, Do not strive, do not strive Let my peace reign within your hearts, Do not strive, do not strive
For mine is the power and the glory, For ever and ever the same Let me do my work among you, Do not strive, do not strive

As we learn to depend on the Lord more, He will give us the desires of our hearts. Let’s not strive but trust in Him. Ali
