This time last year we had just returned from a fabulous holiday on a tropical island and were looking forward to all sorts of celebrations to mark our Ruby Wedding. Coronavirus was being talked about as other people and other places. One year on and over 120,000 deaths in the UK from the virus and the picture is very different. We used to sing a song which said: “I do not know what lies ahead, the way I cannot see, but one stands firm to be my guide, He’ll show the way to me. I know who holds the future and he holds us in His hand. With God things don’t just happen everything by Him is planned. So as I face tomorrow with its problems large and small, I’ll trust the God of miracles, give to Him my all!” One thing I’ve learnt over the last 12 months is that God wants to talk with His people. We’ve prayed and we’ve seen and heard answers to prayers. Through the problems we’ve faced, large and small, God has been there with us. There have been so many God –incidents in our lives, too many to just be coincidences. I’m looking forward to tomorrow. As we look forward we may be unsure what is around the corner but I want to talk with Him and trust Him. Isaiah 43:19 says “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”. God has a new plan for you and me. God has a new plan for his Church. It’s time to party with God!!
